The growing demand for high-strength aluminum alloys as engineering materials has led Danbach to develop effective methods for bonding aluminum, magnesium and other lightweight materials. Friction Point Engagement (Polishing polished robot) is a process in which friction is generated using force and high speed rotation by which two or more sheets are engaged in a few seconds. In order to meet the needs of the application and flexibility, in the static and robot configurations are provided in the Danbach grinding and polishing robot system. The DBH Polishing Robot Robot System uses a Dumbach robot equipped with a dual servomotor grinding and polishing robot gun that can be manipulated in a manner similar to a spot welding gun to bond material.

In terms of bonding lightweight alloy materials, the Danbach grinding and polishing robot system has many advantages over spot welding. First, the initial investment of the system is low, only 50% of a typical resistance spot welding (RSW) system, and there is no need to use a water circulation system to cool the servomotor. Second, the grinding and polishing robot process a high degree of energy saving, compared with the resistance spot welding, the required energy is only 5%. Finally, the polished robotic process does not cause the material to be burnt or the material to be discharged.
