Travel
I love to travel; there is simply so much to see in the world, so many different cultures to explore, languages to learn, and people to meet. The world is one, big melting pot of diversity.
Yet, each and every time I travel, it gets me a little bit further in life. I find that the experiences I make, both good and bad, teach me something. They make me more independent, and less afraid or cautious to explore the unknown. It reinforces my confidence, while I can work on my global network, and perhaps learn a little bit of a new language, and discover interesting places.
The only downside is that traveling generally is quite expensive. I consider it a big challenge to reduce the cost of traveling as far as I can, by selecting the cheapest flights, searching for low-budget hotels at the place of destination, and watching my budget while I am there. Still, it is rewarding, and I am committed to travel to a foreign and new destination at least once a year, when my budget allows it.
