Having A Vision
If you have read books like ‘The Secret’, you are probably already familiar with having visions. It is a topic much written about, and it comes down to the basic idea that strong visions tend to come true. I have already made the experience, that a strong focus on a specific goal will make me move towards that goal… sometimes really fast, sometimes a bit slower.
Therefore, the first and most important rule for me is have a vision. Having a vision for me means that I can literally see my goal in front of me, I can almost feel it, I can taste it. I know what I am working for, and what I aim at achieving in the future. Additionally, I am 120% confident, that I will meet my goal, one way or the other.
In order to make my vision even stronger, I have specific anchors in place; at my home, at work, and everywhere I go. These anchors, in my case, are usually small images of items, or situations, as they would be perfectly normal once I have achieved my goal. It could be anything, ranging from a large estate in Monaco, to a sports car or luxury limousine. I could even write down on a piece of paper the amount of money I would like to see on my bank account statement in, let’s say, 10 years from now.
My visions are mainly long-term, and they are my expression of what I want to have reached at the peek of my wealth or career. Short-term and mid-term goals are dealt with separately and would also include a much shorter time span.
